I have built a LCD projector after studying various web sites and forums. The projector uses long throw lens and is mounted at ceiling height 22 feet from the wall used as screen for 10feet wide image. It has all inputs including component video, VGA, S video, TV Tuner and easy keystone correction. My study of various forums revealed that design of the enclosure should be such that it should be possible to adjust all the elements with precision and hence I made the enclosure with front opening for such adjustment and the projection lense is also mounted with similar adjustmet. Overall results are excellent.

Dear jtemple,

Dear jlhobdey,
There is slight difference due to editing based on various queries received directly or through mails in different forums

Depending on queries in different forums, I have now updated my following web page to include materials used by us and their sources of supplies, web resources on diy projectors and links to our threads in different forums:-

After continuous interactions in four forums, we have now added a bowl reflector and reduced the distance between the bulb and fresnel lens till the brightness became uniform from corner to corner. The brightness also increased and is sufficient for dark viewing. We also added a front surface coated mirror which improved sharpness as well as brightness,

Pictures shot on 24.02.06 are given on our web page http://www.drtsolutions.com/Projector.htm . The screen size is 120" at 22 feet from the projector placed at ceiling height on an almirah, using long throw lens. The brightness is quite sufficient for dark viewing. It can be further improved as at present it is at 50% default setting of LCD.

I fixed the link above - it had me tricked as well! The reason it that there are certain characters that have to be coded. In the image above, here are the codings...

' ' replaced by '%20'
'&' replaced by %26
',' replaced by %2C

a complete listing of these types of codings can be found at http://www.blooberry.com/indexdot/html/topics/urlencoding.htm

Yeah, I had already went over to your website to check them out. Just wanted to make sure you knew they weren't showing up to the rest of us. By the way, I saw that Bollywood was doing a remake of Fight Club...I would be interested in seeing that. Very Happy
